You can read every article on Anobee without giving us any personal information. We only receive personal data when you choose to submit it, or when it is generated automatically by serving the page to you.

If analytics is enabled, we collect aggregated information about which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, and roughly where in the world they are. We do not use analytics to identify individual readers.
Newsletter signups
If you subscribe, we store the email address you submit and the date you subscribed, so we can send the newsletter and honour unsubscribe requests. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Contact form submissions
When you use the contact form we receive the name, email address, and message you type. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add contact form addresses to the newsletter.

How long we keep information
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted. Server logs are kept for a short retention period set by our hosting provider. Cookies expire according to the durations listed in the cookie policy.
Children
Anobee is written for adults working on websites and businesses. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Anobee is operated from Nepal, and the providers named above process data in other countries, including the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place under their own terms.
